Saul A. Lelchuk holds a B.A. in English from Amherst College and a master's degree from Dartmouth College. He divides his time between Oakland, California and New Hampshire, where since 2016 he has taught as a Visiting Lecturer in Creative Writing at Dartmouth MALS. He enjoys working with both newer and experienced writers across a variety of forms; he also volunteers as a PEN America Prison Writing Mentor and is a frequent crime fiction panelist at literary conferences around the country.
Lelchuk's debut novel, Save Me From Dangerous Men, was named a USA Today Best Book of 2019, a Booklist Top 10 Crime Debut of 2019, a Kirkus Best Mystery/Thriller of 2019, a Hudson Booksellers Best of the Year, and was short-listed for a Barry Award. The series was optioned for film and television and has been published in multiple translations around the world. The sequel, One Got Away, was published in 2021 and named a "5 Books Not to Miss" by USA Today.
Lelchuk is a member of the Mystery Writers of America (MWA) and International Thriller Writers (ITW). He is represented by the LGR Literary Agency and his film/television rights by the Gersh Agency. He is currently working on several upcoming books in fiction and nonfiction.
