Dartmouth College Financial Aid Office helps graduate students with federal loan needs. The MALS program also offers partial-tuition scholarships to be applied to the required nine courses, referred to as MALS Scholarships.
For the each academic year, financial aid, including partial tuition scholarships, and budget estimate information, will be made available to applicants as soon as it is updated and distributed from the Dartmouth Finance Office.
If you would like to be considered for financial aid, please indicate "yes" on your application and then follow the next steps.
For ANY Student interested in a MALS Scholarship, follow the steps outlined in the application.
For domestic students interested in Federal Loans please fill out the FAFSA and Graduate Financial Aid application found on the Financial Aid website.

The MALS scholarship is awarded on need. To apply students should indicated "yes" they are interested in financial aid on the application and then follow the steps given. The scholarships will be awarded in the admit letters. Students are not eligible to appeal their award until after they have completed a term of study.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents may apply for federal student loan programs, in addition to a MALS scholarship.

International students may apply for MALS at Dartmouth scholarships, but are not eligible for U.S. Federal Loans. They can apply for private loans, to explore private loan options please visit the Private Educational Loans page on the Financial Aid Office website and select the "Connect to Lender List" at the bottom of the page. Here you will find a comprehensive, three-year list of lenders used by past and current graduate students. MALS scholarships are applied as partial tuition for the nine required courses only.
