The Graduate Student Council is composed of an executive board and representatives from each department within The Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies, Thayer School of Engineering, and The Dartmouth Institute. One representative is elected for every 25 graduate students within a department. Each representative is responsible for communicating GSC events and efforts to their constituents, and relaying graduate student needs and concerns to the GSC General Body.

MALS Representatives for the GSC

In addition to enjoying the events and organizations of the GSC, MALS Students who are interested in getting involved in the graduate community are encouraged to run as a Representative for the program in the GSC General Body.  Current MALS Representatives are:   Elysee Sadia, and Gjergji Bacuku

 

In this position, MALS Representatives work with fellow GSC members on a variety of initiatives, such as: advocating for affordable graduate housing options across the Upper Valley, facilitating improved healthcare and financial benefits for graduate students, recognizing and addressing institutional equity/systemic racism on campus, providing mental health support and services, and more.
