Current MALS Student Matthew Garrell is presenting a workshop on behalf of the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL) on Wednesday, April 26th from 10 AM - 11 AM in Room 102 of Baker Library.

Garrell's workshop will discuss mental resilience - what it is, how it's developed in our students, and what we can do to encourage mental resilience.

Garrell is a member of DCAL's Learning Community for Future Faculty (LCFF), which was created to cultivate a community focused on teaching and learning amongst graduate students and postdocs. More specifically, the purpose of this group is to share the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching and related career development issues.

This workshop is one of several sessions in the LCFF series, where each topic/session will be chosen and designed by members of the group. Regular attendance is appreciated but not required - come when you can! Snacks and drinks will be available when we start.

Registration is required, so please visit this link: https://libcal.dartmouth.edu/event/10641046.

If you are interested in getting involved with the LCFF, or would like to request more information, please email Senior Associate Director of DCAL and Director of Postdoctoral Affairs, Cindy Rosalbo.
