Apply to be an editor for Clamantis: The MALS Journal

As a well-established, student-led publication, Clamantis welcomes MALS students and alumni looking to get involved in the editorial process. The journal presents a great opportunity for students looking to get a hands-on experience with all elements of the publication process, from soliciting submissions to selecting pieces and working with authors on revisions.

To apply to the editorial team, please your resume along with a brief statement of interest (1-2 paragraphs) to the.mals.journal@dartmouth.edu. In your statement of interest, please let us know your MALS concentration and year of graduation.

As a community journal, editor positions are voluntary (non-paid). The role involves the following:
-Reading the submissions assigned to your editorial group
-Writing up review notes on those submissions
-Attending the plenary meeting to discuss recommendations on those pieces
-Optional: working with authors whose submissions have been accepted but require revision

The greatest time commitment for the spring '23 edition will be between mid-March and late April.
