This interactive maker workshop for adults takes inspiration from indigo-dyed African and African diasporic textiles that convey the rich histories of their makers and the cultures they represent. In the studio, we will use simple mending and embellishing techniques to sew pockets onto existing textiles and explore their expressive power.
