Cook a classic Lunar New Year meal together.
Lunar New Year marks the coming of spring and the planting, harvests and new beginnings it brings. Each year corresponds with one of the twelve animals from the Chinese zodiac and this year is the Year of the Ox.
An important part of this holiday is the food — and that means lots of dumplings! In this Zoom workshop, artist-chef Cai Xi of Cai's Dim Sum Catering and the Asian Cultural Center of Vermont teaches us how to make dumplings from scratch. Bring your whole pod to the kitchen for some teamwork, conversation and laughter as we cook this delicious traditional meal and honor this important holiday. All ethnic backgrounds are welcome to participate.
Free, but registration is required. Register, and see the ingredient list here.
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
