This is the inaugural meeting of the Northeast Workshop on Japanese Politics (NEWJP).
The goal of NEWJP is to bring together scholars and students of Japan's domestic politics, political economy, security, and foreign policy. We plan to convene annually or biannually in coming years to present new research projects, give and receive feedback, and cultivate an active and supportive community for those conducting research on Japanese politics. At this year's meeting at Dartmouth, a total of 36 scholarly papers will be presented. Free and Open to the public.
