Dartmouth Professor Susannah Heschel offers a primer on the Bard’s great dramedy and its relevance today.
Drawing on themes explored in their widely popular Dartmouth College course on Jews in Modern Europe, Professor of Religion Susannah Heschel and Professor of English Patricia McKee offer a primer on Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice" and its relevance today. The talk relates to performances June 26-28 of a new, site-specific production of "The Merchant of Venice' staged in Dartmouth's BEMA Outdoor Amphitheater by the New York- and Italy-based Compagnia de' Colombari.
