The evening features a compilation of the actor’s work and an onstage conversation where he will share stories from Dartmouth and gory details from the set of "Stranger Things."
Emmy- and Tony-nominated actor David Harbour ’97 has gained a reputation as one of the most versatile actors around, consistently delivering compelling performances on film, television and stage. For his role as the surly but soft-hearted Chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things, Harbour has been nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Critics’ Choice Award. He won the 2016 SAG Award as part of the ensemble and recently won the 2018 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
On May 13 the Hopkins Center presents an evening with this beloved son of Dartmouth, including a compilation of his work and a conversation about his two-decade journey as an actor—from treading the boards at Dartmouth as a theater major to his work in television and film. He will also share stories about preparing for his starring role in the upcoming reboot of Hellboy, due out in January 2019, and other future projects. Runtime: 1h30m
