Oxford Summer Program

MALS at Dartmouth offers study abroad opportunities at Oxford University's International Summer Schools for selected MALS students.

The Program

Oxford University's International Summer Schools offer intensive, three-week programs where students attend daily lectures followed by small group seminars comprising students from across the globe.

The Oxford Summer Program is an ADDITIONAL COURSE. If you would like it on your Dartmouth transcript, you will apply through the program. Given that it is an additional course, we will not be offering scholarship to help cover the cost.

The Summer School options for MALS students include:

  • English Literature
  • History, Politics and Society
  • Creative Writing

Applying to the Program

The Oxford Summer Program application process for MALS students is handled entirely by the MALS office. Students can apply or pay tuition directly to Oxford University's International Summer Schools, if they do not want a Dartmouth credit for the attending.

MALS students wishing to attend the Oxford Summer Program for credit through MALS will need to attend an initial Oxford Summer Program Application Workshop held by the MALS Director each Fall.

Applications are due in the MALS office by the February 1st prior to the summer of which you are applying.
