George Nash is the most influential historian of the American conservative intellectual movement and a biographer of Herbert Hoover.  Reviews in American History has called Nash’s celebrated history of postwar American conservatism, The Conservative Intellectual Movement Since 1945, “a rare work that remains the authoritative treatment of its subject thirty years after publication.” His talk at Dartmouth will expand upon his September 2016 contribution to The New Criterion, “American Conservatism & The Problem of Populism.” The talk is sponsored by the Political Economy Project.
