Hillary Clinton’s presidential defeat felt like an end for women in politics. In fact, Clinton's loss was just the beginning. Donald Trump’s victory sparked a mass mobilization of women across the country - a kind of second suffrage ready to storm the gates of American democracy. Women are protesting, organizing and running for office in unprecedented numbers.Their political revolution is converging with the cultural moment, the #metoo push for greater parity across American life. These women have the opportunity to transform Congress and shape the future of the Democratic party. But will this new wave of activism translate into real electoral power?
